David's 8th birthday party

I feels like Naomi and I were just working at Citibank together, taking turns being pregnant! Now, her oldest, David, just turned 8! I am happy that our families have stayed in constant touch despite the fact that we don't get to see each other daily and haven't in over 4 yrs. Our families meetup and celebrate together many times a year and we are lucky to count them as dear friends!

We had a really relaxing time celebrating David's b-day at one of Naomi's friend's community pool. The kids were able to run wild and swim to their hearts content while we too got some sun, visited with each other and had a leisurely afternoon!

Here are some pics of the kids having fun:

An Afternoon at Waterfront Park

We took advantage of the break in the rain to get out and walk the trail at Waterfront Park. The kids had some serious enery to burn off. We let them run, run, run! But, I took a little time to snap a few pics while we were there. The scenery there is perfect for a few shots!

Grandma and Grandpa Beck

We went over to the Grandparents Beck for pizza and salad tonight and here's a sweet pic of the boys and their grandparents that I took with my cell phone.

Brayden's 3rd birthday party!

His mommy, Kayla, held an adorable pirate themed birthday party. All the decorations were so cute. The kids even got to go on a scavenger hunt! It was very exciting for them! There were 4 different clues on the hunt, stopping at each place to pick up another clue:

It took the kids a minute to figure out the clues led to other clues. But, once they realized what each clue meant (treasure!) the race was on!

The first stop...
Will Harrison make it across? C'mon, use your gymnastics training! We know you can do it!
Can Ethan walk the plank?
My lil' pirate. Having so much fun! He found all his treasure!

Ian did a really great job on this!

 Cute cake!

Time to blow out the candles!

The birthday boy wouldn't stand still long enough to get his pic...

Harrison, Cooper and Noah

 Presents time!

The kids had a blast!

Jungle Hut Beach with Haven

June 6, 2012

Since the first day of school, Ethan and Haven have proclaimed themselves to be "best friends forever". They have had so much fun together all year and remained close. Haven's mom and I decided to take the boys for a end of school year playdate to the beach this week. We had to leave early because, as you can see in the pictures, it as about to really storm!

Alex Graduates!

I can't believe Alex has graduated from high school! He was only 6 when Bob and I first started dating. It doesn't seem like it has been that long at all. He graduates with one year of college under his belt as well so he only has 3 yrs left! Right now he is going to community college to get his basics out of the way until he solidifies what he wants to do as a career. It takes time and there is no reason to rush it! He's doing exactly the right thing. I am sure whatever life path he chooses, he will be successful. He's a great kid!

Visiting Sue at MOSH

We recently bought an annual museum membership so when I saw that Sue the T-Rex was going to be on exhibit there, we had to take the boys! We first saw Sue in Chicago at The Field Museum so it was great to see her again! We went with our friends, The Kelleys, since they wanted to take their daughter too and we made a day of it! The kids were very excited to see her! MOSH also had some fun displays and an educator on hand to make the experience even better. After the  T-Rex exhibit, we took the kids to paint a dinosaur egg and then explore the rest of the museum! We followed that with lunch at the Riverside Arts Market. We were going to go to The Landing but that was very busy due to the USA v. Scotland soccer match. It ended up perfectly, though, because I've wanted to visit RAM for awhile now. We all got something different. I was happy to see a French crepe booth from Bretagne, so I had a yummy ham and cheese crepe and even got to speak a little French! It was a really nice morning and afternoon in Jacksonville with our wonderful friends!
