Easter and the Egg Hunt - 2012

The Easter Bunny made another visit this year. Another close call...ha ha ha! The boys got some of the usual chocolate and candy but they were most excited about the Hero Factory robots the Easter Bunny thought to include in their baskets. Oh, and the goo to play with too. What was that Easter Bunny thinking...goo?!
After the boys played with their goodies, we headed over to hubby's parents where we had a nice ham dinner with everyone and the kids got to Easter Egg hunt. Pretty much the same thing we do every year. I think soon we will get involved with a church and make it a more meaningful Easter ( and other religious holidays) for all of us so the boys can understand why we celebrate these holidays.

Here are some action shots of our Easter:

Spring Break - Medieval Times!

Another place we hadn't been to in quite awhile! Wow, it's amazing the things you can start doing again when your kids get out of the baby and toddler stages. I suppose you could do these things but it wouldn't be enjoyable! Me and hubby hadn't been here since our honeymoon and knew the boys would LOVE this! I mean, it's just made for boys! Eating with your fingers, watching men sword fight and joust and watching horses do cool tricks, cool tricks!

Before we came to Medieval Times, we spent some time in Ikea. That was all for mommy and daddy! And, now that the kiddos are old enough to go play in the kidzone, we could shop for 1 hour IN PEACE! Awww...it was awesome. That hour went pretty fast, as you can imagine and we got some great goodies!

 Our little cuties!

Passing through the village, eying all the wares. The boys wanted nothing to do with the torture chamber rooms. I don't blame them, I didn't want them knowing what those devices do anyway. Creepy!

checking out how heavy the chain mail is to wear.

 Ready to support their knight!

Ethan's looking a little wary about this falcon right next to him!

Trying his tomato soup. They both really liked it!

 full of excitement!

Meeting our knight. Ethan's so shy!

 They got their crowns signed.

Spring Break - The Alligator Farm, St. Augustine

We decided our 2nd fun-filled day of Spring Break would be at The Alligator Farm, another place we haven't been in quite awhile! I actually haven't been since my mom visited me years ago pre-hubby, pre-kids! Back then it was smaller and smelled badly. This time it was a lot more fun. Mostly because I got to see it through the eyes of my little boys! It did not smell one bit and was laid out very nicely. We had a picnic to top off our day as well. I think we saw enough alligators to last the year, at least!
