Ethan's in the paper!

Today, Ethan's picture was in the Palm Coast Observer with his friends for St. Mark's new mural!

Cute Quotes of the Day

As we are driving to St. Mark's VPK today, it was extremely foggy. The sun was so hazy it almost looked like a moon. Ethan says "The sun looks so spooky today. The sun has on his Halloween costume!"

Yesterday Noah wanted to put on a pull up. I told him those pull ups are for nighttime. Big boys use the potty! Noah says in his cute little 2 yr old voice, "Well, I need a daytime one! I love diapers!"

Tonight at dinner Ethan looks at me up and down. I asked him why he's looking at me like that? He asks "Do you have a candle inside you?" I look at him strangely and say "Noooo...why?" He says "Because God shines a light inside us!" That is just too cute!

Happy Thursday, everyone!

VerdeGo Pumpkin Patch

Our mom's group met at the local plant nursery, VerdeGo, to check out the pumpkin patch and hopefully get some cute pics! We love to visit the pumpkin patch every year! It was a little hot in the sun and Noah was not in the mood. His only goal that morning to be cranky for pictures and try to steal food off the table. I got some cute pics anyway but he just wouldn't smile for me! He did have an fun time checking out the pumpkins, hay and tractors with all his friends Brayden, Jake, Brennan,Dylan, Hannah, Aiden, Summer, Savannah, Jace and Maggie! They always have a great time together!

Weekend in GA with Thomas the Train

This year to celebrate Noah's 3rd birthday we took him to spend the weekend with Thomas the Train! Saturday morning we drove up to Cordele, GA and drove straight to Veteran's Park to check out the festivities surrounding Thomas. Noah's first major thrill was taking the tram from the parking area to the festivities. I think we could have gotten away with giving him a tram ride and he would have been happy as a clam...until he saw Thomas sitting on the tracks. The minute they saw Thomas, they were beyond excited! You would have thought they won the Publisher's Clearinghouse Sweepstakes! I guess when you are a toddler boy, that's pretty much the equivalent. With Thomas nearby, we took in all the festivites: a visit with Sir Topham Hatt, the Storytelling tent, the tent with all the train tables and crafts, a bounce house, face painting and Thomas tattoos! Needless to say, they were VERY tired after all this. But, we headed to the hotel and they were ready to play again. So, we went to the hotel and played in the pool where Noah put on a show of belly flop after belly flop. I am surprised his stomach wasn't sore and bruised the next day, crazy boy! When we got back to the hotel room, the boys were so happy to see that our hotel room window looked out to railroad tracks in the distance and there were trains that went by every thirty minutes to an hour. Luckily, the train was not loud in our room! That night, Noah thought we rented the hotel room for an all-night party so sleep was the last thing on his mind, unfortunately. We were so tired from trying to get him to settle down that we just fell asleep when they did. So much for the beer and movie watching we had planned after they fell asleep! We should have known!

The next morning, we headed back over for the actual train ride on Thomas. The boys were filled with such anticipation that waiting in line for 30 min was a piece of cake for them. We didn't have to wait in line right away but they wanted to be first on the train! The train ride was fun but probably not as thrilling as they thought it was going to be...lol! After the train ride we went up the hill for more bounce house action and then we headed out. The boys were so worn out from their weekend, they immediately zonked out in the back seat. It was a peaceful ride home! We are so happy that Noah had such a fun pre-birthday weekend!!

Call the waaahmbulance!

Oh the 2 1/2 to 3 1/2's! Ha ha ha...don't you usually hear the terrible twos? Well, no, that's a big, fat lie. Having done this before with Ethan, I know for a fact that this 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 age is full of fits and drama to the extreme. Something just looks at Noah wrong (yes, it can be an inanimate object) and his world falls apart. Wrong color/size/shape/who knows....waaah! I said "No"..waaaah! That toy my brother has must be mine this minute...waaah! I want it NOW.....waaaah! The crying can really get to you! That's when I want to call the waaahmbulance for ME. Can it take me directly to the spa?

My favorite Fall things

I have recently decided that Fall is my favorite season. I was convinced it was Winter because I love Christmas and the cold weather. But, Fall is so much more fun with the new cooler weather after all that heat and humidity, trail walks in the cool breeze, Halloween, everything pumpkin, Fall Festivals, Thanksgiving and a new season of TV. Plus, it's more conducive to cuddling! Cuddling up with my boys to read a story or with my hubby to watch the new seasons of our favorite shows. What's not to love about Fall? Winter is still a close second in my book! Summer? Definitely last..especially in Florida.
